Very Easy Ways to Recover or Reinstall Grub Boot Loader

We often see a PC or Notebook has 2 OS, namely Linux and Windows. Problems appear when the Windows OS have problems, such as infected trojan virus ato. How to clean sometimes be difficult due to the registry. When windows are installed will have problems. Namely from linux grub loader which will become the default boot loader struck down by its windows.

To recover or re-install the linux boot loader will have 6 easy steps

1.Run a computer with Linux Live CD (in this case I use my CD “UBUNTU 8:04″ to OS “UBUNTU 8:10″). Then open the program “terminal” is there in the
Applications menu> Accessories> Terminal

2.Type the command “sudo su” (without quotation marks)
3.Then type “grub”
4.At the grub menu type “root (hd0, 4)” and press enter. In the GRUB boot loader is usually hard disk partition number would be reduced 4
So, when GNU / Linux installed on the partisi5 you like me, it will be
identified as GRUB partition (hd0, 4), but when you install Linux on the partition 2 is the (hd0, 2).
5.Then type the command “setup (hd0)” which will automatically be mengistall GRUB boot loader on the Master Boot Record.
6.Then the last step is out of the terminal by typing “quit” and reboot his computer.

And based on my experience, then we can shout the word “YES” linux OS is ready to operate
