Tips to Connect Network Printer from Ubuntu to Windows
Some time ago I was confused as to connect the printer sharing from ubuntu to windows. Because I use a PC with a computer operating system consisting of Windows and Ubuntu. After searching in google, I finally got a trick how to get to connect the printer from ubuntu to windows by using the LDP, or samba, as for how:
- Windows computer connected directly to the printer, and printer sharing set.
- Then go to Settings>> Control Panel>> Add-Remove Programs.
- And go to Windows Components.
- Select Other Network File and Print Services and then check.
- Then select the formula in the windows installation that is: Next and
- Next, and so on until it finished the service components installed
- Activate the services to run automatically every time the computer boots through the menu by selecting Settings>> Control Panel>> \
- Administrative Tools>> Services
- Check the Windows computer’s IP.
Then move on to the computer settings with Ubuntu OS.
- Make the printer settings and select the network printer option>> LPD Queue
- Then enter the IP Address of your Windows computer and printer share names on the existing settings
- Make a printer test.
