Tips to Add a New Font in The Command Prompt

Do you feel bored with the letter or the font in the command prompt?. May not feel too because rarely used. But if you want to change the font, the following methods can be tested. The first step we try to check first font that is, open the command prompt and right click and select properties on the frame command prompt and select the font and will be visible to the 2 types of font Lucida Console and Raster Fonts.

Then try to open registry editor by typing regedit in the ” Start Menu” —>  “Start Search” for Windows Vista or “Start Menu”  —> “Run” for Windows XP

Then select the key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE Microsoft Windows NT CurrentVersion Console TrueTypeFont

Right-click on the right-hand column and select the menu New –> String Value

Rename the String Value with the characters “00″ and enter the font “Courier New” in the Value Data field and click OK

To add another font, add a String Value with the name “000″ Value Data, and filled with the type of font Consolas.

Reboot the computer to see the effects of changes in the application, and do as the first step then you will see the extra fonts that you add.
