How to Make Windows XP running in Ubuntu

Ubuntu is currently good enough to be used, but for some programs may still require the windows. For that we may be able to use “wine”. In addition, there is 1 way as the solution. The solution is to install the “Windows” in the “Ubuntu”. So, “Windows” will be running in “ubuntu”. How to install “Windows” in “Ubuntu”, by using a program called “VirtualBox”

  • Download the package from virtualbox.org virtual box and select the package in accordance with the operating system used.
  • Install the installer package and we will ask the administrator password.
  • Some of the additional files will be downloaded from the Internet, after the configuration window appears click Forward to continue Instalation Finished and restart the computer.
  • Virtual Box is ready to run and is now ready to install Windows XP on Ubuntu 8:10.
  • VirtualBox run in the Applications menu and then System Tools.

  • In the window select cancel the registration, because registration should be online. If not filled, this window will always appear every you run VirtualBox.
  • Virtualbox is active, enter intaller XP CD and click the new.
  • Will appear a new form, give the name of the virtual machine as you wish. In the type of operating system select WindowsXP.
  • Then specify the RAM will be consumed, and create a virtual HardDisk will be used by Windows and click New.
  • HardDisk virtual have 2 options, dynamic n fixed. In the type of dynamic capacity provided on the windows a little, and developing in accordance with the needs of the windows.
  • Determine the most basic capacity for dynamic capacity and click Next and Finish.
  • Configuration is completed and ready for use.
  • Back to the main window VirtualBox see whether the CD / DVD is mounted and then click Start.
  • Installing the windows will be running as normally as we know.
  • While the program will use Windows on the VirtualBox warning appears, check Do not Show this message again and click Capture.
  • The mouse pointer will be active only in the VirtualBox window, to return to the Ubuntu press “Ctrl” on the right.
  • Windows in Ubuntu is ready for use.
